Shirley (Shirale/ Shirle) water falls is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Uttara Kannada district, which comes in Yellapur taluk. This place is nearly 20kms from Yellapur town. This falls comes in Arabhile Ghat. Here you can see the water falls from 100 feet height (approximately). Due to the lack of publicity this beautiful falls is still unknown to lot of people. This place is very good for trekking.
From Yellapur town go in Yellapur- Ankola National highway (N.H-63), approximately 18kms you will get Shirley cross on left side of road. While coming from Ankola side after Idagundi village you will get Shirley cross. (4kms from Idagundi). Shirley is a very small village which has got nearly 10 houses.
From that cross you have to go 2.5kms in forest (mud-road) downwards. It is better to go by walk only. 4 wheelers are not going in this road. 2 wheeler is also difficult in this mud-road. After 2.5kms you will get one areca-nut plantation. From that areca-nut plant you have to walk downwards, after some distance you will get Shirley falls.
